History of the Pera Museum 

Founded by the Suna and İnan Kıraç Foundation, the Pera Museum is a private institution situated within the iconic Bristol Hotel building. Originally constructed in 1893, the hotel has since relocated to a new location near Taksim Square. In its heyday, the Bristol Hotel welcomed numerous distinguished international guests, representing the epitome of luxury. However, as the 20th century drew to a close, the hotel gradually lost its charm and became outdated. 

With a Neoclassical facade, the building of the Pera Museum exudes timeless elegance. On Sundays, the museum opens from 12:00pm to 6:00pm, providing an opportunity for a delightful afternoon visit.
