Walking Around Bodrum  

The Bodrum Bazaar is located in Old Town. This is the historic part of town. Wander around the traditional whitewashed buildings and narrow alleys paved with stones. As expected with bazaars, this one can get very crowded at its busiest times. This particularly happens when a cruise ship has docked, and the passengers disembark for their day in Bodrum. On Tuesdays, the Bodrum Bazaar is overflowing with textiles. This is when you can find discount clothing, bedding, towels, and other household textiles. You can also find several stalls with cotton and locally made fabrics that you cannot find anywhere else.  

Friday Market  

The Friday Bodrum Bazaar is a little different, as it is produce day. While there is produce available daily at the market, it is abundant on Fridays. This is when the local farmers come to sell fresh fruits and vegetables. As a traveler, you can try unique foods you may not get at home. 

Tasting the Local Cuisine  

Fresh produce isn’t your only opportunity to eat at the Bodrum Bazaar. You will find several cafes and food stalls that serve a range of Turkish delicacies. Get to the market early, and you can try cheese, olives, coffee, tea, and olives.  

Spices are also a much-loved commodity at the Bodrum Bazaar. You will see stalls that are stuffed to the brim with the most colorful spices you will ever see. The displays will delight you as you experience spice flavors with all of your senses.  

How to Visit  

To visit the Bodrum Bazaar, head towards the Dolmus Station. You will see a huge entrance next door with a sign saying “Bodrum Belediyesi” overhead. This is the bazaar entrance. If you are struggling to find it, don’t ask the locals where the market is. They will direct you to a supermarket. Instead, ask them where the bazaar or Pazar is. This will get you to the open-air market.
